Provident Building

Oswald Company served as the General Contractor on the conversion of the former Provident Bank Headquarters to a 160-unit apartment building. The $38 million project includes 152 one-bedroom units and eight two-bedroom units. The building includes state of the art finishes such as hardwood floors, solid wood doors, quartz countertops, and European lighting and plumbing fixtures while paying homage to the historic beauty of the 1909 building. First class amenities at the Provident include a resident library, game room, pet wash, and bike storage. The building earned it’s LEED Gold certification from USGBC for using locally sourced materials, a low flow plumbing system and energy efficient appliances. The redevelopment of the property filled mostly vacant office space with hundreds of residents, reinvigorating the irreplaceable building at 642 Vine St.
